service award for Burnham's Sea Cadets Commanding Officer
Commanding Officer of Burnham-On-Sea's Sea Cadets has been presented
with the 3rd Clasp to his Cadet Forces Medal.
medal is presented after a minimum of 12 years good service as
an adult, with the clasps representing each additional six year
joined the Sea Cadets in 1976, Lieutenant (SCC) Bob Silverthorne
RNR worked his way through the cadet ranks to become an instructor
and has held many posts at Unit, Area and National levels and
maintains an active role as a staff development trainer as well
as running the successful local unit.
presentation was made by the District Officer, Lieutenant Commander
(SCC) Steve Coles RNR, and a good number of parents turned up
young people aged between 10-18 that are interested in becoming
