Burnham mother's cake sale raises charity cash in memory of daughter

A Burnham-On-Sea mother whose daughter died of cancer at the young age of 43 last year has held a fundraising charity event in her memory this week.

Rose King held a cake sale at her home in South Terrace in memory of Sam Greenall, who passed away last September after a four-year battle with cancer.

Sam left three children under 10 years of age and this week's event was held to raise cash for SEE SAW, a charity that helps bereaved children through the pain and grief of losing someone they love.

Rose told "It was wonderful to have such superb support for this event. All the cakes were donated by family and friends and there was a steady stream of visitors during the day. I would like to pass on my thanks to everyone who gave me support."
