New craft-themed cafe opens its doors in Burnham-On-Sea

-

A unique cafe that is serving up tasty snacks alongside craft-making activities has opened in Burnham-On-Sea town centre this week.

The Crafty Teacup Cafe has opened for business in Victoria Street, opposite St Andrew’s Church.

Owner Gill Hills has transformed the building into a colourful, modern cafe selling a wide range of snacks and drinks – with lots to do while you eat!

“We’re offering something very new and unique – a chance to enjoy delicious cakes, paninis and snacks while reading craft magazines or making mobiles and crafts such as felt cards, decorations and ‘shabby chic’ gift items for the home,” she told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We have lots of crafts for children to make and colour and we’re also planning to hold craft-making workshops on subjects such as cupcake decorating, felt decoration making and bunting making in coming weeks.”

The cafe is open from 10am-4pm each day and offers fresh coffees and other drinks plus sandwiches, salads and paninis.

It also has a menu of vegetarian, gluten-free, vegan and dairy-free items to cater for all needs.

The Crafty Teacup Cafe is also offering extra facilities outside normal opening times – children’s parties for youngsters aged 4-7, pamper parties, baby showers and craft-theme nights. The cafe is also available to hire as a meeting venue.

Gill added: “I love craft making and wanted to create a fun, lively environment where anyone with an interest in crafts can come.”

“We’ve already had lots of positive feedback and look forward to welcoming new visitors.”
