This hungry heron has been causing amusement to walkers at Highbridge’s Apex Park this week.
The bird has been spotted several times catching fish in the shallow waters of the park’s main lake besides the ‘no fishing’ sign!
The heron is one of many birds enjoying the mild start to autumn.
Apex Park was recently awarded Green Flag status for a seventh consecutive year in recognition of its ‘green’ credentials. The award, from environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy, recognises the UK’s best parks and green spaces.
