August Bank Holiday Fete 'bigger than ever' this year
annual August Bank Holiday Monday summer fete promises to be "bigger
and better than ever" this year, say organisers.
fete will be held as usual in the town's Manor Gardens and will
begin earlier than normal at 11am.

raffles, mini-golf, coconut stall, cakes, badgemaking, whiskey
raffle, mini train rides, the award-winning human fruit machine
and a bottle tombola with hundreds of bottles kindly donated by
patients from all the medical practices in the area."
attractions will also include the Monarchs Acrobats, a kung fu
demonstration and a magic show.
profits from the fete will go to make life better for patients
and staff of Burnham Hospital and the charities supported by Burnham
addition, many other charities including BARB, Macmillan Cancer
Support, the RNLI and Prostate Cancer Awareness will be present
