Highbridge’s Isleport Vintage Show winds back the clock this weekend

-

Organisers of the annual Isleport Steam and Vintage Working Show near Burnham-On-Sea say visitors to this year’s event, which takes place this weekend, are in for a treat.

The event is being held on Saturday July 27th and Sunday July 28th with a wide range of vintage machinery on show at Isleport Farm in Highbridge.

“This show is a bit different. On show will be steam engines, classic cars and commercials, plus tractors and farming equipment from days gone by, and for this year we also have in attendance the 29th Division of A Company Living History Group depicting an American military unit from WW2 that would have been stationed in Brean and Berrow,” organiser Rob Coombes told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“Also, for the first time in many years, we have the South West Tractor Pullers Association demonstrating their unique and very powerful sport which will be well worth watching.”

All proceeds from the show will be shared between the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The show will be open from 10am-5pm on both days with entry costing £6 for adults and £5 for seniors. Free parking. Under 16s free. The farm is located one mile south of Burnham’s M5 junction at the postcode TA9 4QX.
