May Day family fun day to be held at Burnham's Marine Cove today

The Friends of Marine Cove and Sedgemoor District Council will be holding a fun-filled May Day family event on Bank Holiday Monday (6th May).

Taking place from 10am-2pm, the event will have a theme of flower fairies, with a whole host of activities and craft fun taking place - including the unveiling of Burnham's new Town Crier.

Children are being invited to dress up as fairies or elves and take part in a parade at 10.30am in the gardens.

The St Joseph's School May pole dancers will be performing in the gardens at 11am and there will be live music throughout the day. Refreshments and free craft activities will be run by the Friends of Marine Cove.

Burnham's new Town Crier will be announced at 12 noon and will undertake his first public duties during the day.
