Burnham-On-Sea's Monday Club enjoys Community Games challenge

Burnham-On-Sea's Monday Club held its annual Community Games in the sunshine at the town's BAY Centre this week.

The club's members overcame a number of disabilities to compete in a variety of sports including tennis, egg and spoon races, sack races and hoola hooping.

The Community Games are supported by the Olympic Committee to promote sport for everyone as part of the legacy of London 2012.

The event was organised by Jonathan Smith who recently received an award from Lord Coe for his work as a young volunteer.

If you are interested in hosting a Community Games event, Jonathan can be contacted at the BAY Centre in Cassis Close, Burnham every Monday.
