Young photographers are the focus of Burnham-On-Sea competition

-

Young photographers at Burnham-On-Sea’s St Joseph’s Primary School have this week been presented with awards after winning a photography competition.

The school’s photo club, run by teacher Natalie Harris, was visited by the Chairman of Burnham Camera Club, Sharon Stevens, to hand over the awards following a nature-themed competition.

The winner was presented a framed copy of his image and an invitation to cut the ribbon at the official opening of Burnham Camera Club’s annual exhibition in April.

All the work by the children will be mounted and shown at the Camera Club Exhibition on Sunday 21st April at 10.30am at The Bay Centre. The photos will also be on display at Burnham Library from March 25th.

Sharon Stevens told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I was really amazed by the high standard of work from these six and seven year olds. It was lovely to see the children engaging in the world around them and producing such fantastic images.”
