Mayor presents community award to Burnham-On-Sea Rotary Club

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Mayor has this week presented the town’s Rotary Club with a community award.

Cllr Ken Smout handed over the certificate to Rotary President Hugh Mackay at a ceremony on Thursday night (18th April).

Cllr Smout told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I selected Burnham Rotary Club to be given a Mayor’s Award for their services to the community, so that the Town Council could recognise the amount of work Rotary does in raising money for the many good causes.”

Mr Mackay added: “It is a great honour to receive a Mayor’s Award on behalf of the Club. We do not seek recognition for the many activities that we undertake in the community, but it is really good that our work is appreciated.”

Burnham Rotary Club meets every Thursday evening at 7.30pm at Burnham and Berrow Golf Club in St Christopher’s Way, Burnham. The Club welcomes new members (male and female) and for more details click here.
