Three arrests after drama at Burnham-On-Sea's Tesco supermarket

Police swooped on a vehicle and arrested three men following an attempted theft and a crash outside a Burnham-On-Sea supermarket on Sunday (April 14th).

The trio were taken into custody by Burnham Police from the town's Tesco supermarket in Ben Travers Way, as pictured here.

Inspector Roger Tolley from Burnham Police told "Police were called to reports of an alleged theft and a collision in the car park. Three men were arrested and are being held in custody at Bridgwater Police Station."

An eyewitness said that a man had allegedly tried to steal some alcohol, leading to a chase by a security guard in the car park. When the guard attempted to stop the vehicle leaving, the car was reversed into an innocent shopper's vehicle behind. There were no injuries.
