Cash stolen from delivery vans parked in Burnham-On-Sea

Police have this week appealed for witnesses following two thefts of money from parked vehicles in Burnham-On-Sea.

Two delivery vans were targeted by thieves in two separate incidents last Thursday, June 27th.

"The first happened at around 3.10pm when the driver was making a delivery in Burnham's Victoria Street and parked his van to make a delivery," a spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

"As he did, an unknown offender entered the vehicle and took a large amount of cash."

"Shortly afterwards, a second incident occurred at a guest house in Berrow Road. The driver left his vehicle to make a delivery and cash was stolen."

Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incidents or saw anyone acting suspiciously around vehicles.

"If you can help, please call 101 quoting crime reference numbers 61812/13 or 61820/13," added the spokesman.
