Cannabis plants seized and man arrested in raid on Highbridge flat

A man has been arrested after Burnham-On-Sea Police swooped on a property in Highbridge this week as part of a drugs investigation.

A quantity of cannabis plants was seized from the town centre flat on Thursday evening (August 21st).

A Police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Following information from the community, we attended a flat in the town centre where six cannabis plants were being grown."

"The plants were seized and a male occupant has been arrested. It was a good result thanks to the co-operation of the community. We always appreciate information like this which can be handled anonymously."

Anyone with any information about drug crime can contact Burnham Police by calling 101. Alternatively, residents can ring the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 who never ask for names or trace calls.
