Somerset presenter becomes a BARB hovercraft pilot for a day
BBC radio presenter got a chance to become a rescue hovercraft
pilot for a day during a special visit to Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday
Britton from BBC Somerset visited BARB Search & Rescue to
record a segment for her daily breakfast show.
was taught to fly the charity's life-saving 'Spirit Of Lelaina'
hovercraft by BARB's volunteer pilot Wayne Kilgallon.
said afterwards: "It was very exciting to be able to fly
the hovercraft - I'd never been in one before. The weather was
perfect with calm conditions and I had a great teacher."
