runners ready for today's Burnham-On-Sea Half Marathon
than 120 runners will be taking part in today's Burnham-On-Sea
starting gun will be fired at 11am at Burnham's BASC Ground to
signal the start of the annual 13-mile run.
are being advised to take extra care as the runners head along
Love Lane and Queen's Drive, before turning left along the A38
towards Brent Knoll and then on to East Brent, Lympsham, Wick
Road and Red Road, before returning to Burnham via Berrow Road.
Brian Beale from Burnham Harriers Club told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"We have 116 runners registered and are expecting more entries
on the day. Poeple can register on Sunday morning up until 10.30am."
fees are £18 for UKA affiliated runners and £20 for
others. Entry is limited to 500 competitors. There will be an
extra £2 for entries on the day.
will also be a one-mile fun run for younger runners, with entry
costing just £2 per person on the day.
