Burnham-On-Sea care home's £20,000 new-look facilities
care home in Burnham-On-Sea unveiled a £20,000 refurbishment
of its facilities on Saturday (December 5th).
in Burnham's Berrow Road welcomed the town's MP James Heappey
and the Mayor and Mayoress, Michael and Maria Clarke, to perform
the official launch of its modernised premises.
Abbeyfield opened in 1974 as an independent supported living residential
home registered with charitable and corporate status and it's
affiliated to the national Abbeyfield charity, based in St Albans.
Nevill, Chairman of Abbeyfield's Executive Committee, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:

an expensive programme of changes."

a new board meeting room, refurbished the kitchen and other rooms,
and put in new computer equipment, to bring everything up to modern
home in Burnham is mainly run by volunteers, ably helped by Diane
Brown, the house manager/caretaker, and Chris Rogers, the administrator/secretary.
