Burnham-On-Sea tourist centre team to hold annual meeting this week

The team of volunteers who run Burnham-On-Sea's tourist information centre are to hold their AGM on Tuesday May 12th.

BIARS (Burnham Information and Rescue Support) has run the thriving centre with the help of volunteers since taking over it from Sedgemoor District Council four years ago in April 2011.

The AGM will be held at 7pm in Burnham's Princess Theatre and will be open to all.

BIARS Chairman Tom Ashton said: "All will be welcome to come along, including local tourist attractions and guest houses, to hear about the work of our volunteers in running the centre."

"We are pleased with the season so far - it's got off to a good start as seen by the number of visitors here. We are going from strength to strength and thank all those volunteers and businesses who support us."
