New cycle rack installed in Burnham last week is demolished
new cycle rack installed in Burnham-On-Sea High Street less than
a week ago as part of the town centre's ongoing improvements has
been removed after being struck by a vehicle.
Council Clerk Denise Emery told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Unfortunately,
the cycle racks outside George Reed Gallery in the High Street
were badly damaged this week. It's very regrettable beause they
were only installed a few days ago."
footage is being examined by Sedgemoor District Council to see
if it holds any information about what happened. We would ask
anyone who saw the incident to get in touch with us at the Town
added: "We are going to get new cycle racks ordered and re-installed
in that area."

and encourage more shoppers and visitors.

The new cycle racks have been installed along the High Street
