Hornby Train Show to be held in Highbridge today
train enthuasists from across the region will be flocking to a
unique show in Highbridge on Saturday (October 31st).
Bristol and Somerset Group of the Hornby Railway Collectors' Association
will hold their seventh Vintage Hornby Train Show from 10am-4pm
in the B Block at King Alfred School.
will be a variety of Hornby model railway layouts on 0 and 00
scales, including Templeford, a large clockwork and
electric vintage gauge 0 layout originally built by the late Laurie
Tandy and now re-constructed by his children," said one of
the organisers, Graham Roberts.
will be many trade stands selling new and second-hand items. Refreshments
will also be available and there will be ample free car parking
including spaces reserved for disabled drivers near the entrance
to the building.
for adults will be £3 per person, while accompanied children
are admitted free.
