Burnham model railway club gives RNLI lifeboat appeal fund a boost

Burnham-On-Sea RNLI's fundraising campaign to raise £41,000 towards the cost of a new lifeboat has been given a boost.

The fund for the replacement of Burnham's Puffin lifeboat has been given a donation by Burnham and District Model Railway Club.

Club member John Langley presented a cheque for £483 to RNLI Station Chairman Ashley Edwards.

Ashley said: "We welcome this donation, for although we have a long way to go, I am confident that with the support of the community, we will reach our £41,000 target."
