town centre in focus at Neighbourhood Plan meeting
to produce a new Neighbourhood Plan for Burnham-On-Sea is continuing
to progress well with a meeting held this week to discuss the
future shape of the town centre.
Neighbourhood Planning Burnham Town Centre group met on Thursday
(February 19th) when members discussed potential redevelopment
sites and also debated the possible introduction of colour schemes
for shops in the town centre.
Harvey, the Chairman of the group, said: "So far, we have
made good progress. We're not unanimous on every issue but we
will refine the document after consultations have taken place."

At the end of the day, it is the residents of the area who will
make their views known and it is these which will appear in the
group will hold a town centre walkabout next month, with the draft
town centre strategy in hand, to evaluate it on the ground. This
