Burnham-On-Sea’s Royal British Legion branch is holding a special Open Day today (Saturday, March 28th).
The event will take place from 2pm – 5pm at the legion’s HQ at 15 Victoria Street in Burnham behind Material Needs and opposite BOS Mobility. There will be a tombola, raffle and refreshments and all will be welcome.
The long-running Burnham branch of the organisation had been disbanded last autumn due to a lack of volunteers after a 75 year-history. However, dozens of residents came forward to offer their help and get the legion re-started again.
“Come and see what the Legion can offer you, enquire about renting rooms for activities or events and find a welcome for all members and public alike,” said a spokesperson.
