line up for new Burnham-On-Sea talent competition
organisers of a new talent competition in Burnham-On-Sea say they
have received plenty of interest from up-and-coming performers
in the area since announcing a unique new competition to held
in the town later this month.
Princess Theatre is hosting the first Talent Showcase on Saturday
February 28th when local musicians will be asked to perform in
front of a team of judges.

are looking for singers, duos, guitarists etc - it is not a battle

to register and for further information. The showcase will be
held in aid of the local charity Somewhere House Somerset with
proceeds going towards its work.
House Somerset is now wholly reliant on fundraising after recently
having funding pulled. The charity, which offers counselling to
those who can't afford it or can't wait, is bigger than ever,
now serving over 50 clients. Somewhere House Somerset also regularly
goes into schools holding workshops on issues such as addiction.
The charity, based in Burnham, strongly believes in the community,
which is partly why we've organised a Talent Showcase, a local
event which will hopefully give local people a bigger platform
to show off their talents.
