young woman was rescued from beach mud at Brean after getting
into difficulty early on Saturday morning.
woman, in her 20s, was in a distressed state and was reported
to be in trouble by a friend at 3.30am.
from Burnham and Weston were called to the scene, with volunteers
from BARB Search & Rescue and police and ambulance crews.
police helicopter lit up the scene from above and a BARB hovercraft
flew out to the casualty with two Coastguard mud rescue team members.
woman was helped from the mud and taken onboard the hovercraft
