in the Burnham-On-Sea area who are interested in standing for Somerset
County Councils elections in May are being invited to attend
two special events where they can find out more.
place on 30th January and 1st March from 6pm to 8pm at County Hall
in Taunton, the welcome events will offer a chance to find out about
the role of a County Councillor and what is involved in standing.
will be 55 seats available to be filled in the local elections on
4th May, including Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge, and each has a
chance to have a big impact in the local community and get involved
in the provision of council services.
Flaherty, the Councils Chief Executive and the Returning Officer
for the Elections, told urnham-On-Sea.com: "We welcome applications
from people from different kinds of backgrounds."
