woman found safe and well after search in Burnham
emergency services were called out on Saturday afternoon (January
14th) to search for a missing person.
from Burnham-On-Sea Coastguard and BARB Search & Rescue were
tasked by Police to search several locations for the missing woman,
who is known to walk her dog in the area.
hovercraft, Polaris off-road vehicle and Burnham Coastguards searched
the coastline between Burnham and Brean Down. And BARB's inshore
rescue boat was tasked with searching the banks of local rivers.
spokesman said: "The BARB hovercraft was launched with a Coastguard
Mud Tech on-board, and the BARB Polaris Off Road Vehicle was also
deployed with a Coastguard Rescue Officer onboard."
