‘Basset Waddle’ sees 50 pet owners gather on Burnham beach

-

Over 50 basset hounds and their owners headed to Burnham-On-Sea beach on Sunday (February 3rd) for the annual Basset Waddle walk.

The group, called the Basset Hound Walkers, met at Highbridge’s Apex Park before heading along the River Brue footpath to the seafront.

They then walked along Burnham-On-Sea’s beach out to the low lighthouse and back.

A spokesperson said basset owners from across the region had taken part in the popular event, adding: “It was a wonderful sunny day for it – albeit with some bracing seaside winds!”
