Apex Park lakes declared free of toxic blue-green algae by council

-

Highbridge’s Apex Park lakes have been declared free of potentially toxic blue-green algae.

An outbreak of the algae led to warning signs being installed around the lakes by Sedgemoor District Council over the summer, as we reported here.

Sedgemoor District Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com on Friday: “The good news is that the water in Apex Park Lake was re-tested yesterday and results show that the blue-green algae bloom has subsided. Warning signs will be taken down.”
