Council issues reminder that fishing at Apex Park is banned during virus outbreak

-

Sedgemoor District Council has this week urged people not to fish at Apex Park’s lakes in Highbridge.

The council – which manages the park – has banned all fishing during the Coronavirus outbreak as part of its social distancing measures.

Council spokeswoman Claire Faun told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “We have received reports this week that people are fishing at Apex. A ll fishing on Apex is banned at the present time during the lockdown.”

Fishing has been suspended at the park and other public lakes in agreement with Highbridge Angling Association and the Friends of Apex Park.
