Bikers roar through Burnham-On-Sea on fundraising run

-

Dozens of bikers roared along Burnham-On-Sea seafront at the weekend at the end of a fundraising bike run.

Members of Somerset Motorcycle Group gathered at the Bristol Bridge Inn in Highbridge on Sunday (June 20th) before setting off on their cross-county marathon.

“We set off at 10am to Morses Motorcycles at Weston Super Mare and then rode through the small villages to Cheddar, before going through the Gorge and down over Burrington Combe,” the group’s Norman Templeman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

“We then made our way to Brent Knoll where we were met by two of the Freewheelers motorbikes and a police car, which escorted us into Burnham and along the seafront, before taking us back to Sanders Garden World.”

The event raised £160 for the Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service, which transports items on specially adapted motorcycles from hospital to hospital in Somerset and beyond.
