Fast food giant Kentucky Fried Chicken has this week denied rumours that it is planning to open a store in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea.
The company had been linked to the former job centre in Burnham’s High Street, which remains vacant and on sale.
However, a spokesman for the multi-national company ended the speculation on Tuesday (March 30th) by confirming that it has no intention of opening in the town.
Sopkeswoman Nina Arott told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I have checked with our estate management team and can confirm that there are currently no plans to open a store in Burnham.”
