Burnham-On-Sea Coastguards were involved in an extensive search of the Bristol Channel today (Friday) for a suspected missing boat.
Coastguards from Barry in South Wales and Burnham were called out at 3am to search the channel for the vessel after it was thought to have suffered a power failure.
“An extensive search of the Bristol Channel has taken place using Coastguard teams and lifeboats, but nothing untoward has been found,” a spokesman at Swansea Coastguard told Burnham-On-Sea.com. “The search has been called off pending further investigations.”
