A pub near Burnham-On-Sea plans to convert its former skittles alley into new accommodation for Hinkley Point C workers.
The Crown Inn in Church Road, East Huntspill is seeking permission from Sedgemoor District Council to make a change to a planning condition, enabling it to accommodate the power station workers.
It has submitted a planning application requesting the “removal of Condition 3 of Planning Permission 25/17/00040 (Change of use of skittle alley to holiday accommodation, including the replacement of a flat roof with a pitched roof) to allow accommodation to be used by Hinkley Point C workers.”
Consultation is currently underway on the plans and comments are being welcomed by Sedgemoor District Council until October 28th.
