Hundreds raised for charity by Burnham-On-Sea fundraiser as he plans 15,000ft sky dive

-

A Burnham-On-Sea Coastguard member has received hundreds of pounds worth of pledges for a charity close to his heart as he plans to do a sponsored 15,000ft sky dive.

Andy Hutton Young will be taking to the skies later this month with the aim of raising funds for The UK Sepsis Trust.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com, Andy said: “On February 24th, weather allowing, I will be doing a sponsored sky dive in aid of The UK Sepsis Trust because during last year two amazing people that I knew were taken by Sepsis.”

“One was like a second mother to me during my teenage years and an incredible lady. The other was a work colleague from my days in the military who made everyone smile as much as he did. It is in their memory that I am doing the jump.”

He added that jump will be from 15000ft which “is the highest a civilian can jump from – I’m apprehensive but it is all for a good cause and in memory of brilliant people.”

“I have set a target of £1000 and am getting great support, but I would love to not only meet the target but surpass it.”
