BBC TV sports presenter John Inverdale was the special guest at a unique quiz evening near Burnham-On-Sea on Friday night (February 9th).
The presenter, who is a well known face on the BBC’s coverage of sports events such as Wimbledon and the Six Nations rugby, visited the village of Mark near Burnham-On-Sea where he has family.
Over 90 people attended the event, ‘A Quiz Evening with Celebrity Broadcaster John Inverdale’, which was organised by Mark Community Association at Mark Village Hall.
“We had a very successful evening, raising funds towards the purchase of new outdoor playing equipment next to Mark Village Hall,” said organiser Jendy Weekes, who is John Inverdale’s sister.
