Brean Country Club welcomed dozens of couples to view their new venue and to help plan their special day during its first wedding fayre on Sunday (20th January).

The new £4m club, which recently opened in the grounds of Brean Golf Course, was visited by over 80 couples during the day.

“The main function suite, called the Kestrel suite, featured a number of local suppliers from photographers to florists, entertainers to pyrotechnics companies, and beauty and hair to bridal wear as well as different themed tables for wedding breakfast ideas,” said Kieran Spottiswoode.

“The upstairs Kingfisher suite was also laid out to show visitors how a wedding ceremony could look as the venue is licensed for civil ceremonies.”

On arrival couples received a welcome drink, sampled canopies made by Simon Hyde, the Head Chef, and received a goody bag full of useful information.”

“The Country Club’s wedding lodge was also open for viewings, including the lakeside lodge which features a large bedroom with bath and separate walk in shower and open plan kitchen and lounge.”

“The lodge is included for happy couples in all the venue’s wedding packages on their wedding night. There are six other lodges available to hire as well as a range of accommodation at the adjoining holiday resort, Holiday Resort Unity.”

“Photo options for the wedding days include the venues outside balcony offering views towards the Mendips and Brent Knoll, locations on the golf course, and a beach option through use of a private minibus.”

Full wedding package options can be viewed here and for enquiries email events@brean.com to arrange a viewing.
