Staff at a Burnham-On-Sea cafe were surprised when an actress from BBC1’s EastEnders dropped in for a mug of coffee on Thursday (October 4th).
Tanya Franks, who played the role of Raine Cross in the hit BBC soap, called in at Mr Beans in Burnham High Street, as pictured here.
“As soon as she came in we recognised her,” one of the cafe’s staff, Bianca Chinn, told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
“She ordered a latte and then returned to the counter a few minutes later to ask if she could charge her mobile phone using a plug on the wall, which we agreed.”
“After enjoying her coffee and making several calls she was met by a friend and left.”
Tanya Franks is best known for starring roles on television in Family Affairs, The Bill, Pulling and EastEnders in recent years.
The actress played Rainie in 2008 and again in April 2011, before departing later that year. She also runs her own media production company.
