Good
weather pulls in Burnham book lovers to British Legion's fundraiser

Hundreds
of pounds was raised for Burnham-On-Sea's Royal British Legion
on Saturday morning, June 24th, when the organisation held a fundraising
book sale.
The
event in Victoria Street was given a boost by warm sunny weather
which, according to the group's Vice Chairman, Bob Northcombe,
pulled in dozens of book lovers.
Bob,
pictured, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "The event has been very
well supported - we've had a good number of visitors throughout
the morning."
He
added that the group is looking for volunteers to help manage
the book stall during the next few months. "Due to illness,
the number of people we rely on to run the stall has been reduced
- so we'd be interested to hear from anyone that can help."
Last
year, the monthly book sales raised more than £1,300 for
the Burnham-On-Sea Royal British Legion.
