Two men were arrested on suspicion of carrying threatening weapons in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea in the early hours of Saturday morning (March 31st) following a police chase involving several officers.
The incident, at 1.45am, occurred in Pier Street.
Police spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “Several officers tried to question the two men, but they ran off and were caught a short time later. They were detained on suspicion of carrying threatening weapons.”
Two men, both aged 18, and from Burnham and Highbridge, were later released after questioning.
