BBC TV presenter to open new Burnham-On-Sea charity shop

-

BBC Points West presenter Chris Vacher will be opening Weston Hospicecare’s shop in Burnham-On-Sea later this month.

Chris, who is a patron of Weston Hospicecare, will officially open the doors to the College Street shop on Thursday May 29th at 1pm to help raise funds for the charity.

Peter Boyer, Retail Controller at Weston Hospicecare, said: “We are delighted Chris is coming to help us officially open the new Burnham shop.”

“We help patients living in the Burnham area, so having a Hospice shop in the seaside town is a way of raising valuable funds while also increasing awareness of the services we offer to people living in the community. We are really pleased with the new outlet and look forward to welcoming new customers to the shop.”

Burnham-On-Sea.com was first to report last month that the store would be opening. The new store will sell a wide variety of donated items including clothing, bric a brac and books.
