Property developer to unveil plans for fire-ravaged Highbridge Hotel

The owner of the fire-ravaged Highbridge Hotel plans to hold a meeting during the next fortnight to unveil his plans for the site.

Talking to Burnham-On-Sea.com on Thursday (June 19th), Derek Mead, the property developer who owns the site, said he hopes to unveil his plans for the market site and former hotel (pictured above) at a special meeting.

"Talks with English Heritage about the site are currently ongoing and have been so for several weeks."

"We hope to hold a meeting in Highbridge Community Hall and I hope to be in a position to bring our plans for the hotel to the meeting," said Mr Mead (pictured).

Burnham-On-Sea.com reported earlier this year how a huge fire devastated the hotel in April.

* Update: The meeting has been postponed until the autumn due to continuing discussions about the future of the building.
