Child
injured in three-car accident on M5 at Burnham-On-Sea

A
child was rushed to hospital with whiplash injuries following
a three-car accident on the M5 motorway at Burnham-On-Sea on Monday
afternoon (March 31st).
Two
lanes of the southbound carriageway were closed to traffic - as
pictured here - after the accident at 2.05pm, which was close
to the entry slip for junction 22.
Police
and paramedics were quickly on the scene and a youngster was taken
to Weston hospital for treatment.
Police
spokesman Dan Mountain told Burnham-On-sea.com: "The accident
involved a Honda Civic, a Chrysler Neon and a BMW X5 which had
crashed into the central reservation."
"Lanes
two and three were blocked for some time while emergency services
were at the scene."
He
confirmed: "One child was taken to Weston-super-Mare General
Hospital with whiplash injuries."
