Teenager arrested following Burnham-On-Sea accident

Police confirmed on Monday (June 23rd) that a teenager had been arrested following a dramatic accident in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea at the weekend.

A 19-year-old man was held following an accident in Oxford Street in which a car ploughed into a garden wall, sending bricks and concrete through the front windows of a house, as first reported here.

Police spokesman Dan Mountain told "A nineteen year old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and was later released on bail pending further enquiries."

Residents were woken by a loud bang early on Saturday (June 21st) when the car, which was travelling from Highbridge to Burnham, left the road and careered into a garden.
