Tea-riffic
turnout at fundraising party in Burnham-On-Sea
Burnham-On-Sea's
Mayor and Mayoress were among the guests at a special 'Tea At
Three' fundraising event held in the town on Wednesday (July 23rd).
Throughout
June and July supporters of hospices across Britain are raising
cups and funds as part of 'Britains biggest tea party'.
The
' Tea at Three' event was held in Burnham's Masonic Hall in Burnham
in aid of St Margaret's Somerset Hospice.
The
money raised will help fund more nurses and other healthcare professionals,
as well as providing practical and emotional help for families
coping with a life-limiting illness.
Julie
Draper, Community Fundraiser for St Margaret's Somerset Hospice,
told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was a great success."
"We
would like to say a special thank you to the organiser of the
event, Chris Beckett, and his wonderful team of helpers for making
the event such a success and to everyone who donated items and
to those who attended."
