Police appeal for information following
assault in Burnham churchyard
Police
issued an appeal for information on Thursday (April 23rd) following
an assault in Burnham-On-Sea earlier this month.
The
incident occurred at approximately 8pm on Tuesday 7th April in
St Andrew's churchyard, pictured, when a 46 year old man was attacked
by a group of youths, including three males and two females.
He
was knocked to the floor and suffered cuts and bruising to his
face and back.
"One
of the offenders is described as a white male, approximately 5'
7" tall, 20 years of age, with short blonde hair described
as 'shaggy'. He was wearing a black and white horizontal striped
top," police spokesman Steve Game told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"If
anyone has witnessed this incident or has any other information
which may assist the investigation they should contact the CID
