Call
for nominations for Burnham and Highbridge Civic Awards
 Burnham-On-Sea
and Highbridge town councilors are inviting nominations for the
towns' annual Civic Awards.
The
awards are given to local people who are deemed to have rendered
outstanding service to the community and will be presented at
the Annual Civic Service, held each summer.
Members
of the public are invited to submit nominations by Friday 20th
March to the Town Council's Clerk Eileen Shaw.
Nominations
can be sent by post to The Old Courthouse, Jaycroft Road, Burnham-On-Sea,
TA8 1LE, or by calling 01278 788088, or by sending an email.
Last
year's winners, pictured here outside Burnham's St Andrew's Church,
included Bob Nicholson, Barbara Thorogood, Hilary Rose and Jean
Whitehouse. The late John Coombes was also awarded a posthumous
award, which was collected by his wife Pat.
