Man
arrested after immigration raid on Burnham-On-Sea kebab shop
One
man was arrested following a police immigration raid on a kebab
shop in the centre of Burnham-On-Sea on Wednesday evening (June
17th).
A
team of Border Police were seen outside the Kebab Kitchen in the
High Street just before 5pm.
Police
spokesman Steve Game told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "We were called
to an address in the High Street at 4.53pm to assist border police
officers with their investigations."
"A
20-year-old man was arrested in connection with border agency
matters and has been questioned at Taunton police station."
The
UK Border Agency has confirmed that the man was believed to be
working in the country illegally.
