at Burnham-On-Sea Morrisons
Over
350 people have applied to work at the new Morrisons store on
Burnham-On-Sea seafront, the company said on Thursday (May 14th).
The
job applications are currently being sifted through to find potential
candidates to fill up to 45 roles, which include checkout operators,
bakers, butchers and staff to serve on Morrisons fresh food counters.
Gail
Roberts, Retail Recruitment Manager at Morrisons, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"We have had an amazing response to the recruitment drive
and are optimistic that we will build up a team that can deliver
great service to the people of Burnham-On-Sea."
She
added that the new recruits will be joined by colleagues from
the previous Somerfield store, who will transfer across to the
Burnham Morrisons store.
The
new
store will house a wide range of goods, from fresh food and grocery
items to home and leisure goods, as well as beers, wines and spirits.
It
will also feature a 'Market Street' brand of Morrisons traditional
fresh food from dedicated butcher, baker and fishmonger counters.
