Highbridge police pod offers fire safety tips and housing advice

-

Burnham and Highbridge residents can now get fire safety advice and discuss council housing issues with Sedgemoor District Council bosses at the Asda police pod in Highbridge.

A series of new drop-in sessions has been arranged over the coming weeks. These will be held on Monday 3rd August from 3.30pm – 4.30pm; Thursday 10th September from 12pm – 1pm and Wednesday 16th September from 9.30am – 10.30am.

Bob Telfer, Community Safety Officer for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “Anyone who is concerned with improving safety within their home may request a home safety visit. This free service is provided to develop a safer community. You may also qualify to have a free smoke alarm fitted in your home. If you’d like to take the opportunity to request a free safety visit, or have any concerns about fire safety in the home please call into the Asda police pod.”

Anna Midgley from Homes in Sedgemoor is inviting local tenants to drop in to see her to discuss tenancy issues, anti-social behaviour and rent queries. These sessions are being held every Thursday from 2pm – 4pm.
