Man
appears in court after Burnham-On-Sea stabbing

A
man has appeared in court today (Monday June 22nd) following an
early morning stabbing at this road junction in Burnham-On-Sea
on Saturday.

was first to report
how four people had been arrested in connection with the stabbing
at the junction of Cassis Close and Burnham Road, which occurred
at 3.30am.
On Monday, Paul Ball, a 26-year-old from Church Street in Highbridge,
appeared at Taunton Magistrates Court after being charged with
assault and possession of a bladed article.
Three other people - two aged 17 and one aged 18 - have been released
on police bail pending further investigation.
On Saturday morning, blood was found across the tarmac - and several
teams of police and scene of crime investigators were seen gathering
evidence, as pictured here.
A
male aged 21 suffered an injury to his arm and was taken to Weston
General Hospital, where he was in a stable condition.

Later
in the day, police marked out four areas across the junction where
blood had been found

Blood
was clearly visible next to each of the markers at the road junction
